On our trips nature may sometimes give you a hard time, but we make sure that people do not.

We are aware that the ”outdoors lifestyle” or traditional hiking & trekking scene may sometimes be associated with conservative, even bigoted views and values. This may discourage LGBTQ+ people from finding the beauty and thrill of all that nature has to offer.

There is absolutely no reason things should be this way. Nature belongs to everyone and better yet – we all belong to nature. On Queertrail trips, we give you the possibility to immerse yourself in nature, without the daily hassles you might face.

Our values and policies

We promote safety in every form, be it physical or emotional. Our trips are to be enjoyed by all, and for this we prepare well. An updated safety plan is worked out for every trip and our staff is trained in first aid procedures. We meet all our customers as equal human beings and do our best to provide a safe and relaxed atmosphere.

We belong in the nature, the nature does not belong to us. We are visitors in the forrest and occupy the space on natures terms. We do not unnecessarily disturb the peace of the forest or other visitors.

All life is precious. We cause no intentional harm to any plants, animals or insects. We strictly follow all guidelines related to nature preservation and Finnish Every Persons Rights. We also serve only vegan food.

We leave every place we visit in a better condition then it was when we arrived. Everything we carry in, we carry out, we leave no litter or rubbish anywhere. If we see rubbish, we pick it up if possible. We do not burn things which are not meant to be burned.

We have zero tolerance for any sort of discriminating, othering or marginalizing speech or behaviour. We make sure all our guests understand this and in case of any infringements we act immediately and decisively.

Last but not least: Fuck nazis. This is our only exception to the previous point.
